D.O.A.

Small-town accountant Frank Bigelow (Edmond O’Brien) travels to San Francisco for a brief escape before committing to a life with his devoted fiancée, Paula (Pamela Britton). But his plans are upended when he learns he’s been fatally poisoned by a rare “luminous toxin.” With only days to live and no clue who’s behind it or why, Bigelow plunges into a desperate hunt through the city’s dark underbelly, determined to uncover the truth and find his killer—before time runs out. This frantic race against time to solve his own murder makes D.O.A. a masterpiece of suspenseful filmmaking.
