In this iconic 1932 horror film “White Zombie” a young couple, Madeleine (Madge Bellamy) and Neil (John Harron), who are lured to a mysterious Haitian plantation by their acquaintance, Monsieur Beaumont (Robert Frazer). Beaumont’s intentions are anything but pure, as he becomes obsessed with Madeleine and will stop at nothing to win her love. When Beaumont’s advances are rejected, he turns to the sinister Legendre (Bela Lugosi), a man who controls his mill using mind-controlled zombies. Legendre concocts a potion that transforms Madeleine into a zombie, but Beaumont soon realizes that he’s made a terrible mistake. Desperate to undo his actions, he’s betrayed and becomes a zombie himself. As Neil searches for his missing wife, he’s guided by a local priest who believes Madeleine may still be alive. With a zombie uprising on the horizon, Neil must race against time to save his beloved from the clutches of the undead.
