The Beverly Hillbillies

S1 E7-The Servants

Ellie May reluctantly starts wearing dresses but feels insulted when she’s told she looks like a “city girl.” Meanwhile, Mr. Drysdale convinces Jed to bring in his butler and upstairs maid to help “civilize” the Clampetts, though the family struggles to grasp the concept of having servants. Miss Hathaway takes Jethro bowling and begins showing a personal interest in him. The Clampetts’ hilarious struggle to understand high-society help makes “The Servants” a classic culture-clash episode of The Beverly Hillbillies.
