In the premier episode of the Lucy Show, Lucy tries her best to keep an eye on her teenage daughter, Chris, who is about to go on her first date with a boy named Alan who owns a car. But things take a hilarious turn when Lucy’s overprotective instincts lead her to wait up for Chris and Alan to return. Little does she know, there was no mischief to be had, as Alan’s parents were actually in the backseat the whole time! After a night of amusing misunderstandings, Alan asks Chris out again, and Lucy promises to stay out of their way.
