Popeye takes on a new role as a hard-boiled private detective. His first case comes from his favorite client, Olive Oyl, who needs him to provide security for her priceless jewel. The job seems simple enough until a supposedly trustworthy butler reveals his criminal nature, swiping the gem and kidnapping Olive Oyl in one fell swoop.
