Marjorie Reynolds (August 12, 1917 – February 1, 1997) was a charming American actress and dancer, forever immortalized for her role as the beautiful leading lady who introduced the song “White Christmas” to the world in the beloved musical classic, Holiday Inn (1942).

A former child actress, Reynolds rose to stardom in the 1940s. In Holiday Inn, she held her own as the love interest caught between two of cinema’s greatest legends, Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire. She proved her versatility by also starring in the atmospheric Fritz Lang film noir Ministry of Fear (1944) and the slapstick Abbott and Costello comedy The Time of Their Lives (1946).

In the 1950s, she found a new wave of fame on the small screen, starring as Peg Riley, the patient and loving wife of William Bendix, for five seasons on the hugely popular NBC sitcom The Life of Riley. This role solidified her legacy as a beloved and versatile star of both film and television.
