Joey Forman (November 18, 1929 – December 9, 1982) was an American comedian and character actor, best known for his professional partnership with Mickey Rooney and for his many memorable roles on television and in animation.

After winning the popular talent competition Arthur Godfrey’s Talent Scouts, Forman began performing as an opening act for Mickey Rooney in Las Vegas. The two formed a successful comedy duo, which led to Forman co-starring as Freddy Devlin in The Mickey Rooney Show: `Hey Mulligan’ (1954-1955) and appearing in Rooney’s films Andy Hardy Comes Home (1958) and The Big Operator (1959).

After his partnership with Rooney ended, Forman became a prolific and beloved character actor. He had a recurring role as Private Sam Fender on the classic sitcom The Phil Silvers Show and lent his distinctive voice to animated projects, most famously as the wry Sentry in Harry Nilsson’s The Point! (1971). He remained a familiar face on television for decades, making numerous guest appearances on popular variety and comedy shows.
