Jimmy Hawkins is an American former actor, producer, and writer who secured his place in cinema history as a child with his role as Tommy Bailey in the timeless holiday classic It’s a Wonderful Life (1946). He is famously remembered for delivering the film’s iconic closing line: “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings!”

Following his film debut, Hawkins became one of the most familiar young faces on television during the 1950s and 60s. He starred as Tagg Oakley, the adventurous younger brother of the famous sharpshooter, in the popular Western series Annie Oakley. He was also a fixture on beloved family sitcoms, with numerous appearances on shows like The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet and Leave It to Beaver, and had a recurring role as Scotty on The Donna Reed Show.
