Georgiy Teykh (June 13, 1906 – January 29, 1992) was a distinguished Soviet and Russian character actor, known for his memorable supporting roles in a number of internationally acclaimed films.

Teykh is best known to Western audiences for his significant role as Professor Berton in Andrei Tarkovsky’s meditative and profound science-fiction masterpiece, Solaris (1972). His performance as the weary scientist is a key part of the film’s haunting exploration of memory and humanity.

His other notable film credits include a role in the epic historical drama Rasputin (1981) and an appearance in both American B-movies Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet (1965) and Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women (1968), which was recut from a Soviet sci-fi films. His long career made him a familiar and respected face in Soviet cinema.
