Carole Gray (born January 1, 1940) is a dynamic actress and dancer, born in Southern Rhodesia (modern-day Zimbabwe), who became a memorable presence on the London stage and in British cult cinema during the 1960s. She first gained prominence as a star of West End musicals before transitioning to film. Gray is best known to movie fans for her leading roles in a string of classic 1960s genre films, including the horror pictures Curse of the Fly (1965) and Devils of Darkness (1965), and the adventure-thriller The Brides of Fu Manchu (1966), performances which solidified her status as a popular “scream queen” of the era.
