After being the sole survivor of an ambush, a Texas Ranger is nursed back to health by the noble Potawatomi tribesman, Tonto (Jay Silverheels). Donning a mask to conceal his identity, he becomes a symbol of justice, riding his magnificent horse, Silver, throughout the Old West. Together, he and Tonto live by a strict moral code, doing good while funding their mission with a secret silver mine that provides them with income and their signature silver bullets.
This classic American Western series was the highest-rated program on the ABC network during the early 1950s and its first true hit. The unforgettable tale of the masked rider and his faithful companion makes The Lone Ranger a cornerstone of television history.
