Granny decides to lend a helping hand to Mrs. Drysdale (Harriet E. MacGibbon) by making her famous “special mash,” thinking it will cure her supposed drinking problem. Meanwhile, following Mr. Drysdale’s advice, Jed takes a literal approach to investing and buys stock—except he chooses livestock, including cows, goats, and chickens! As Mrs. Drysdale tries to recover from her first meeting with the Clampetts, she starts to believe that her encounters with them are just part of her imagination.
