Linda Henning (born September 16, 1944) is an American actress and singer, best known to television audiences as the beloved tomboy-turned-glamour-girl Betty Jo Bradley on the classic 1960s sitcom, Petticoat Junction, which was created by her father, legendary TV producer Paul Henning.
Henning was a central figure in the Hooterville universe, appearing as Betty Jo for the show’s entire run from 1963 to 1970. She was the only actress to play one of the iconic Bradley sisters for all seven seasons, with her character evolving from a freckle-faced tomboy obsessed with baseball into a beautiful young wife and mother.
The daughter of one of television’s most powerful producers, Linda Henning also made guest appearances on her father’s other hit shows, including The Beverly Hillbillies. After Petticoat Junction, she remained active in television and live theatre, and later had a recurring role in the 1990s science-fiction series Sliders.
