Hal Torey (February 5, 1915 – August 11, 1989) was a dependable American character actor of film and television who was a familiar face in science-fiction films and TV Westerns of the 1950s and 60s.

Torey was a go-to actor for director Bert I. Gordon, appearing in several of his classic sci-fi B-movies. He is known for his roles as Mr. Simpson in Earth vs. the Spider (1958) and as a department head in War of the Colossal Beast (1958). He also had parts in other cult favorites of the era, including Invisible Invaders (1959) and The Cosmic Man (1959).

He worked prolifically in television, making guest appearances on a vast number of iconic shows. He could be spotted in Westerns like The Adventures of Jim Bowie and Death Valley Days, sci-fi classics like Lost in Space and The Time Tunnel, and in sitcoms, where he even had a small role as a tourist in an episode of The Andy Griffith Show.
