Things take an unexpected turn when Floyd Smoot (Rufe Davis) the beloved conductor of the Cannonball, faces a crisis of confidence in his romantic life. After exchanging letters with a woman through the mail, Floyd’s hopes for love are crushed when she ends the correspondence after receiving a picture of him. Feeling dejected, Floyd thinks he’ll never find love again.
