Edmond O’Brien (September 10, 1915 – May 8, 1985) was an Academy Award-winning American film actor. He was a master of intense, gritty performances, making his mark in some of Hollywood’s greatest crime dramas and Westerns and is perhaps best remembered for his tour-de-force role as a poisoned man searching for his own murderer in the classic film noir, D.O.A. (1950). Edmond also co-starred on television with Richard Rust in the NBC legal drama Sam Benedict during the 1962-1963 season.
